Sales Associate, Marketing & Escrow Coordinator
Lorie has been an integral part of Sherwood Development Company since September 2006. She can be credited with helping implement Sherwood’s first land sales program in 2008.
A native of Missouri, Lorie grew up in Cape Girardeau, where she participated in the Otahki Girl Scout Council, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and worked as a supervisor at the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles.
She came to Southern California in 2003, where she worked as a receptionist at MidValley Dermatology until 2006. A devoted Star Trek fan, Lorie met her husband, veteran actor Marc Alaimo (Gul Dukat, Deep Space Nine), at a Star Trek convention.
Lorie lives with her husband in Agoura Hills, where they enjoy motorcycle riding, playing dominoes and chess, and watching their favorite sports teams on TV. Italy is one of their favorite travel destinations.
Lorie is the “voice” of Sherwood. If you place a call to the Sales Office, her greeting is a cadence—unmatched by any professional whose work is client-relationship based.
Her role is Development Companys’ “glue that binds”. Her experience at Sherwood is what makes her knowledge and experience altogether indispensable.
After six years of part of the Development team, she is as familiar with the dynamics of the construction cycle—and the sales and marketing process.
Her sales and marketing acumen are what led her to envision, and successfully lead Sherwood to its first land sales program.
To call it or define it as a “marketing department” or “marketing plans” is akin to calling the Sherwood Gates a “fence”. In order to accurately depict the final product is an incredibly difficult task, if not impossible. Pictures, for certain, can’t portray the beauty, the craftsmanship or the details of a Sherwood estate—words cannot even come close. The function marketing is to entice a potential buyer inside the Gates to see for themselves what is the magic of Sherwood.
To define one of the these homes, that is, to name it (i.e., The Premiere, which Lorie does) is one thing, to give it a name symbolic of it’s beauty is another.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with future homeowners and current homeowners is another one aspect ot her role at Sherwood. In addition to client relationships, she is also responsible for meeting minutes, a entire marketing budget, coordinating any meetings and/or showings for the properties, physically showing properties, handling offers, and vignetting (staging) homes—to name a few.
Lorie is the marketing innovator, par excellence. Not only is she at the forefront of Sherwood’s digital and technological marketing, she also understands the dynamics of ultra-luxury printed publications that, on rare occasion, will commit to.
Her knowledge, experience and dedication to learning new technologies in order to present the Sherwood Collection to luxury buyers is an immeasurable skill, as with the rest of the development team.
At the heart, Lorie’s role is to lead potential luxury buyers from across the world to discover Sherwood Country Club’s estates.
